In my previous post, I mentioned that I hated evite because the features it advertises don't actually work.
Well, I'm not the only one who hates it. On a website that I don't hate (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Evite), more notable tech people voiced their dislike for the site as well.
Luckily, there are some sites listed on the page that supposedly do a better job (including the Friendster founder's attempt at integrating social networking with event planning).
There's always Facebook events and Google calendar if all else fails...
